The Motor Neurone Disease Association of South Africa’s Annual General Meeting is your chance to hear about our achievements, review our finances, and elect the leadership team that will guide us through the coming year.
When: The AGM must be held on the 19th of November 2025 at 17:00 via Zoom.
Notice: You’ll receive at least 14 days’ written notice with full details of the meeting agenda. Please make sure we have your correct details. Email info@mndasouthafrica.org to check.
Your Participation Matters: We require 10% of our ordinary members to be present to proceed with the meeting. If we don’t reach this number, we’ll reschedule for the following week.

During our AGM, you’ll receive:

- Our audited financial statements showing how your membership fees and donations have been used
- The opportunity to elect your new management committee

- The Process:
- Submit nominations in writing to our secretary before the AGM begins at info@mndasouthafrica.org
- Each nomination needs three signatures: the nominee (confirming they accept), a proposer, and a seconder
- Both proposer and seconder must be members in good standing
- Positions Available:
- Chairperson – leads the association and chairs meetings
- Vice-Chairperson – supports the chairperson and steps in when needed
- Secretary – maintains records and handles correspondence
- Treasurer – manages our finances and prepares financial reports
- Good News: Current office bearers can stand for re-election, so if you’re happy with their performance, they can continue serving.
