Voice Back AAC Tool
Founder of Voice Back: Riya Jain
Communication is fundamental to maintaining connections with loved ones. When MND affects your ability to speak, Voice Back is here to help you continue expressing yourself clearly and independently.
When Riya Jain set out to build Voice Back, her inspiration came from her grandmother, who lived with MND for two and a half years. Riya’s grandmother missed her voice more than anything, and preserving that part of her identity became the driving force behind the project
What is Voice Back?
Voice Back is an AI-powered AAC tool that helps people experiencing voice loss communicate in their own voice. Users upload a short recording of their speech (a current file or a short prerecorded whatsapp sound file), and the app then creates a personalised text-to-speech voice along with an easy-to-use phrase board.
Inspired by her grandmother’s journey with ALS, Voice Back preserve’s identity, dignity, and connection—one voice at a time.
We have included in this newsletter a step-by-step guide that shows how to use the app, making it easier than ever for patients and caregivers to get started.
